Location: Brazil

I planned this trip as a surprise for my wife's birthday. I asked her to pack her bags and told her we're going somewhere warm.

Given her adventurous spirit, I knew she would quickly bore of a typical beach vacation. So, I chose, Rio De Janerio – the perfect balance of bustling city life and beach vibes.

Highlights and Recommendations:

• ‍Oro: Oro is a two Michelin star restaurant and hands-down one of the most inventive meals I have ever had. You want to book this one in advance.
  ‍
• Helicopter Ride: We took a helicopter ride (with no doors!) around the Christ the Redeemer statue; a fantastic aerial view that I will never forget.

• Buzios: About a 2-3 hour drive from Rio, Buzios is known as the “St. Tropez of Brazil”.  The town has over 20 beautiful beaches, each with its own unique charm. We enjoyed relaxing beach days and snorkelling with stingrays (Side note: Our snorkelling tour guide was ex-Special Forces and treats his tours like a military operation.
